Aviation Claims

I. GENERAL PROCEDURES

For all types of Aviation policies, the following procedures shall apply.

  1. Immediately send notice of any event likely to give rise to a claim under your Policy to us or to your broker/agent. Said notice shall include full details of the incident, i.e., when, where, what, how.
  2. You will then receive an acknowledgement letter or facsimile transmission from us indicating our course of action, which amongst others would include the appointment of an independent adjuster/surveyor to evaluate the claim.
  3. Submit the claim documents as listed below.
  4. Send us notice of any claim or impending prosecution emanating from any third parties.
  5. Provide further information and assistance as we may reasonably require.
  6. Provide all necessary assistance to the assigned adjuster/surveyor.
  7. As soon as investigation/evaluation of the claim is completed, you will be notified of our Company's position, i.e., offer of specific amount as settlement with accompanying computations/breakdown, or denial, if the claim is not within the coverage of or not compensable under the policy.
  8. If the claim is compensable under the policy, we shall prepare our check settlement and will request you to sign a Release & Quit claim document releasing us from any further liabilities emanating from this particular loss.
