ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT INSURANCE (EEI)

EEI grants “accident” insurance on an all risks basis, this policy covers sudden and unforeseen losses which physically affect insured equipment, including all electrical and electronic systems such as electronic data processing (EDP) equipment, electrical equipment for medical use, communication facilities, lighting and navigational facilities, and equipment for research and material testing.

The protection can be extended to include the material value of the external data media used in computing facilities and the costs of reprocessing and restoring lost information. Likewise, cover can also be provided for such expenses such as hire charges, transport charges for data media and personnel, expenses for accommodation away from base, and night work or work on public holidays.

MACHINERY BREAKDOWN (MBI)

MBI covers plant, machinery and mechanical equipment at work, at rest or during maintenance operations. An all-risks “Accident” insurance for machinery, this supplements that afforded by Fire insurance. Thus, it covers unforeseen and sudden physical loss of or damage to the insured items, necessitating their repair or replacement.

MACHINERY LOSS OF PROFITS (MLOP)

MLOP indemnifies the actual loss of gross profits resulting from a business interruption due to an accident covered under the Machinery insurance.

CIVIL ENGINEERING COMPLETED RISKS (CECR)

CECR grants a comprehensive cover for civil engineering structures such as roads, runways, railways, bridges, tunnels, dams, pipelines, sewer systems and other such structures after their completion. The insurance covers risks emanating from local geological conditions, technical design of the structure, and the operation and use of the structure, and where fire is not the predominant peril.
