After the recent typhoons and the generous flow of relief from all across the country and the world, Filipinos had another reason to gather for a cause in the latest event to be covered by Pioneer Insurance, one of the country’s leading insurance companies.
With Pioneer Insurance’s support, MTV brought to the Philippines Katy Perry in her much awaited concert in Manila entitled “Katy Perry Rocks for Relief” last November 14, Saturday, 8:00 PM at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.
The concert proved to be a bigger and more meaningful event as other talents such as Arnel Pineda and Neal Schon of Journey, American rock band MAE, and Jed Madela joined Katy Perry for a night of rocking out for relief.
All net proceeds of the concert were donated to the Philippine National Red Cross, the concert’s sole beneficiary. The concert was an avenue for people to help as it also housed booths specifically intended for donations.
Pioneer has stood behind the country’s biggest musical events including the recent N.O.A.H by Trumpets, and the concerts of icons like Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and the Eraserheads, in addition to covering the exhibits of esteemed Filipino artists such as the His Art Our Heart, the Amorsolo Retrospective.
